Well Intended Love is a story about a D-list actress Xia Lin who discovers she has cancer. The only person with a match for what will save her is the well known CEO Ling Yizhou. When approached about the subject he agrees to give it to her if she does one thing... marry him. With no other choice to save her life she agrees but this marriage of convenience might turn out to be more real then either of them expected.

OVERALL STORY: I really liked the idea for the story. I am all for the relationship of convenience turned real. However while this story did turn out really well I was a bit shocked with the way it veered at one point. It is discovered that Ling Yizhou planned the whole thing with her getting a misdiagnosis for cancer and all of that in order to make sure he could marry her. That makes me a kind of uncomfortable, I mean it is a little sketchy. But obviously she freaks out when she finds out and after an even more sketchy power struggle between them she leaves. He slowly comes to realize that what he did was wrong and the couple make up after a catastrophe. Besides that, this show was cute that one part was just a little bizarre. I was not particularly fond of it, I mean it seemed incredibly controlling. And then his reaction afterwards! But I digress. The story took a dark turn towards the end which I did not expect but really enjoyed.

MAIN COUPLE: These two were super cute! Seeing them get used to living with each other and being married and all was pretty precious. And once they get past their really big rough patch (as mentioned above) they are a serious power couple. And he can be terrifying when someone hurts her and be super tough yet with one word from her he melts. She taught him a lot about how to respect her boundaries and still love her. She needs someone like him to stand up for her and he needs her to teach him a little bit on how life works.

OTHER COUPLES: I almost like the relationship between Wen Li and and Jia Fei better than the main one. He was super awkward bless his soul and Jia Fei pushing through his awkwardness is pretty great. And dang can he flirt when he wants to, albeit a little bit awkwardly. (You see a trend here?)  They were just sweet and cute and a breath of fresh air. The other one was between Chu Yan and this heiress girl. They started off as friends and it was fun to see them slowly become more than that. Seeing him being concerned about her, then their secret glances to each other were great. I wish we would have had more scenes with both couples in it.

XIA LIN: She is one of the nicest people ever. She forgave him and was very patient with her husband. She is also genuinely a good person. She also trusts people to easily but when people break that trust they'd better watch out. She rarely gives second chances and when she does people had better take it. If they hurt her they'd also have to deal with Ling Yizhou and I would not want to face that power couple.

LING YIZHOU: He was really naive about love for the first half of the show. He thought love was control and protection. But throughout the show his worldview changes... on a lot of things. He had a hard past which explains at least a little bit about why he was the way he was. He had a heartless father and a mother who left. An awful mother mind you...ugh the jerk. I hate his mom. But he had little control in his life so I could see how he would want to control what he could. But overall he was a good person he just had a lot of baggage to clear up.

CHU YAN: He is arrogant as all heck but you have got to love him. It was weird when he started liking the main girl but once he did he changed a bit. He wasn't the arrogant and rude person he had been. But he was a good friend and not a bad actor so good for him.

JIA FEI: She was literally the epitome of a best friend. She was the person of reason when Xia Lin needed it and it was always great for her to give advice. I was always grateful for her giving clearheaded advice and suggestions. And she was just such a great friend. Bless her.

WEN LI: He was freaking awkward and cute as all heck. I'd consider him my favorite character because he was so levelheaded and yet when it comes to matters of the heart he was beyond awkward. He was the only one who seemed to have his head screwed on sometimes.

AN RAN: She was messed up as all heck but in a pathetic sort of way. She really wanted Ling Yizhou but because she couldn't get him she performed criminal acts in order to get revenge on Xia Lin. I felt bad for her though because she really has a messed up sense of morality and that led her doing bad things. Don't get me wrong I still dislike her, but I do recognize that not everything was her fault. She was being controlled by the loser Nan Jintian.

NAN JINTIAN: HE. IS. THE.WORST. I hate smug faced villains and he was definitely one of them. Not to say he wasn't intelligent  and knew just how to get to Ling Yizhou. But that was the annoying part of him. And how he blamed Ling Yizhou for something that really wasn't his fault. I mean he was punishing him because of the sins of his mother. He's beyond awful. I really despise villains like that.
