I have been wanting to watch this show for a while and when Viki released it for free (It used to be for just Viki Plus) I started watching it immediately. And it was definitely a must watch show for any kdrama fan. I loved the romance (even if it did give me serious Romeo and Juliet vibes at times) and I especially loved the villain. The plot was well written and it definitely keeps you hooked until the end. So if you are looking for a sweet drama that will have you cry a bit definitely look into watching this one.

OVERALL STORY: The plot of this story was incredibly interesting because it was a dance based one. I've seen so many different dramas but because of the setting of this one it made it different from the others. The plot got really intense towards the end when the villain really started upping her game. Yes I said her we got a girl villain! I mean in the drama world you get jerk girls all the time but a legitimate girl villain that does things that could get her in prison? I have not run into many of those that have really gone as far as this one. The villain was definitely one of my favorite parts because of just how well she is written. I also liked the politics that came into play because of the ballet studio, Fantasia. It was interesting and I was happy with how things turned out. I also liked the interactions between the various characters and how it played into the overall plot. The friendships, enemies, and relationships all seemed to converge on this idea of fate. Super interesting and it reminded me a bit of how fate is treated in Goblin. Around the last 5 episodes of this show though it got hard to finish because of the whole "Romeo and Juliet" vibe and everything was super sad. Which is why it got bumped down to a B+ instead of the A- I was originally going to give it. I also lowered the rating because, although I liked the ending, I felt like it could have been explained more. Like he suddenly became human and her fate to die just disappeared? Was it because of the one guy that was killed? I just felt like there was some serious unanswered questions.
MAIN ROMANCE: I really loved this couple because of how opposite they were. Like Kim Dan is this ray of sunshine and Yeon Seo is very much not. I liked how with this couple they grew and matured together. They each had to confront things in their own lives and I felt like their relationship made that happen for them. They had some of the cutest moments I have ever seen and they definitely are one of my favorite couples ever. But I do have to talk about the whole Romeo and Juliet thing because it bothered me. They were determined to be together and that overtook everything. While I like the idea behind it the execution was kind of a turn off for me. Kim Dan was literally going to murder someone so she could stay alive and Yeon Seo was determined to die so that Kim Dan could live. Neither would listen to the other one and they were just continually trying to sacrafice themselves to save the other. While I get it--they want to be together--I can only take so much self sacrafice. But overall it didn't make me dislike them as a couple.
KIM DAN: I have wanted to see this actor in a show for ages and he did fantastic! I liked his happy and pure personality. (I mean he is an angel) I liked his character growth as well because he started out really innocent but then was faced with the world. He grew more human like and really started to take a look at who he wanted to become. And he had a hard time of it because of what was expected of him as an angel. He was constantly back and forth because of everything and I am just grateful things turned out like they did for him. One of the biggest things though is him finding out who he was before he became an angel. That had to be the saddest story because of how his life was in general (he was abused) and how he ended up dying (he drowned in the ocean). I admit I cried when we found out the whole story.
LEE YEON SEO: I didn't know quite what to think of her in the beginning because she was an absolute jerk but at the same time she was also a jerk to people I hated so I liked her because of that. But she had a ton of growth to go through until she had mellowed out a little and wasn't constantly yelling at everyone. I appreciated her stubborn personality because she needed it to get through all this crap life was throwing at her. I loved to see her come back to becoming a star dancer and everything that came with it. I wish we could have seen more of her dancing because it was a pretty awesome part of the show.
JI KANG WOO: Okay, he was interesting because I loved him as a character but I also hated his guts. I hated him when he was trying to make moves on Yeon Seo and that was not because of my ship. To me, everything about the relationship he was trying to created with her was one big red flag. He was manipulative and honestly, in my opinion, he put her in the place of his dead girlfriend. (Who looked just like her by the way.) Literally he admitted it and I was grateful she put him in his place. But besides the fact that he was like that I seriously adored him as a character. He would sass the people that needed to be sassed and never took crap from anyone. Sometimes he could be a little harsh but he had some character growth too so that took his edge off. I am really happy with how his story ended.
GEUM NI NA: She was a freaking rollercoaster I swear. I really liked her in the beginning because she was super sweet and amazing where the other members of her family were more on the psycho side of things (except her Dad). But then she like was a jerk for a while which I understand because of the fact that she has spent her whole life being compared to Yeon Seo and that has got to suck. But then she was all nice again so I guess everything turned out fine with her. It just took the whole show to figure out whose side she would be on. And I loved how her story ended because she became a ballerina teacher and it was the ending I never knew I wanted for her. (I also lowkey ship her and Ji Kang Woo and I am sad they never had anything)
GEUM RU NA: She has to be one of the craziest villains I have ever seen on a kdrama. And that evil whispering we'd hear everytime she was concocting something awful? Literally gave me the chills. I wouldn't have been surprised if we had learned devils were whispering in her ear. She was a seriously messed up and delusional person. It is crazy to think of how I thought she was okay at the beginning but then made a complete turn around. She was constantly saying she was doing everything for Ni Na and that belief made her even more messed up. This actress did fantastic at creating a villain you bitterly hate.
