Romance is a Bonus Book is cuter than I thought it would be. It is about a girl named Dan-i who after a divorce sends her child off to school and tries to get back to work. However after so many years out of the system it is easier said then done. In desperation she goes to live with her friend Eun-ho. He agrees to let her stay until she can pay for a new apartment. When she gets a job at the publishing house he works at he agrees to help her keep her past secret from everyone else. But nothing can stay secret forever.

OVERALL STORY: I thought the plot for this show was really good. It was interesting to see how the world treats a woman in her forties who has been out of the workforce for a while. Seeing how harshly they treated her made me a little terrified to end up in her position. I could not have been happier when she got hired at the publishing house but she got hired because they didn't know about her past. But then she was a competent worker! Life Lesson: Give People A Chance! I loved how everything tied into everything especially with the missing author. There were so many plot points I didn't expect. But I really adored the plot and its development.
MAIN COUPLE: I usually have problems with the girl being older than the guy. Don't ask me why I don't have a legitimate reason. And I'm not completely against it especially after watching this show. THEY WERE SO CUTE. She needed someone stable especially because her life wasn't so stable. He gave her confidence and she helped him feel what love should be like. I wish I could explain how cute these two are especially when they start officially dating. They take their friendship and just naturally let it become more romantic. It is how I would want to transition.
OTHER COUPLES: There is a romance between two couples at the publishing house. One of them is between the owner and one of the top workers. I loved this because the girl needed someone especially after we find out about her horrible past. It was nice to see them get together. The other one is between two of the new hires. She uses him as her fake boyfriend so her mom will stop making her go out on blind dates. They are actually super hilarious and cute and it is so fun to see their relationship slowly become real. The third couple is between one lady at the publishing house and Seo-jun I ship them pretty hard. Mostly because if they got together than their would be no love triangle. And they are just so cute.
DAN-I: She has a really hard life and it was hard to watch her at the beginning because of that. She went through so much and yet she was still a good person. But seeing her flourish from being this broken down person to being this productive member of society was really awesome. Life was hard for her so I am really glad she got a happy ending.
EUN-HO: It was the best thing when he opened up again. After seeing what happened with Dan-i and her ex husband he didn't want to have anything to do with love. One of the best parts of this show is seeing him believe in love again. Also he is just a precious and supportive human being who I can't just help but adore. Besides the whole not believing in love thing he had a hard past too. And throughout this whole show it was great to see him face and overcome that.
SEO-JUN: He was a nice guy but I did not appreciate him interrupting my ship. He was a very early twenties dude and she was early forties and you could tell. But as a normal dude I thought he was pretty legit. I appreciated his friendship with Dan-i because she needed more friends. And his dog was cute too so extra points for him.
