Woo Su-ji: Works at a big company/ main girls best friend
Ma Sang-goo: CEO of main guys job

Because This is My First Life is about Se-hee and Ji-ho who enter into a contract marriage. Ji-ho needs a place to stay and Se-hee needs a tenant to help him pay off his loans as well as a wife to get his parents off his back. But they discover that keeping their marriage platonic is harder than they thought.
I liked this show. It wasn't the most amazing show in the world and I don't think I'd ever watch it again but I enjoyed it. I liked how the show looked at different aspects of marriage from multiple different perspectives. It was a unique show and one I'd recommend to others.

OVERALL STORY: I don't have a whole lot to say about this show so a lot of the sections will be brief. I enjoyed the plot in this show and its overall development. I liked the aspect of marriage it took where we saw all different kinds of forms. We also learned about how various people see marriage which was really interesting. I liked how the characters developed and grew throughout the story. It was a story of maturity as well as choosing your own path. It was unique in this and I can say with certainty I haven't watched a drama quite like it. There was one thing that bothered me though which was right at the end when the main couple gets divorced. Ji-ho is really upset and angry which is why they divorce in the first place but it didn't make much sense to me especially because she returns months later and starts over with him again. I kind of understand because of everything with his history and the fact that he is a more "closed off" person but at the same time it felt out of place and didn't make much sense. That was my only big complaint in this show besides the amount of sexual innuendo it threw at me. One thing I really liked about this show though was when Ji-ho met Se-hee's ex-girlfriend they were friends and she never really let the past get in the way of that. I much prefer that maturity to the fighting that I usually see.
MAIN ROMANCE: I liked their relationship because of how different it was. See-hee is not your typical kdrama male lead and both characters are in their thirties. That changes the dynamic of their relationship. But I loved how it progressed throughout the show. I felt like they became better people and their lives changed because of it. It was cute to see them slowly start to fall in love with each other. Their bus trips, meals, and flirting were some of the best parts of the show. Their whole before marriage part was hilarious though and I loved that. I wish I had more to say on them but they were cute and I enjoyed watching them but besides that I don't have much else to say.
ROMANCE #2: This is between Ho-rang and Won-seok who had been dating for about seven years at the start of the show. Ho-rang was ready to get married but Won-seok, being a typical boy, did not understand the signals she was sending. I don't know if I'm really happy or not that this couple stayed together. They broke up for a time because things were strained and I'm glad they did. Their relationship had turned pretty toxic, for which I blame Ho-rang the most because she was incredibly self centered at times. But more on that later. So their development was interesting and I'm glad the writers took the time to really flesh out their story. I didn't really care for their relationship but I guess I'm glad they ended up together and happy by the end.
ROMANCE #3: This is between Su-ji and Sang-goo. I really didn't like them at first because of the basis for their relationship--an incident that happened years previous. But as it developed I really came to like them. It was interesting because Su-ji wasn't really into the whole "boyfriend" gig and didn't see marriage as anything special. But by the end she was the one who proposed to Sang-goo because she loved him. I really enjoyed seeing that change in her as well as just seeing this couple develop. They had to go through a lot to get their happy ending but I think the development of them was one of the best parts of this show.
NAME SE-HEE: He was a really unique dude. He was a lot quieter and it was hard sometimes to see what was going on in his head. But I did enjoy learning more about his character and seeing him open up more to his emotions. He had an incredibly hard life and there were times he actually caused me to tear up. I had never seen this actor before but I felt like he did really well and I would definitely want to watch more dramas with him.
YOON JI-HO: For the most part I really liked her character. The only time I didn't was the divorce which I talked about above. I liked how nice she was and just the generally good person she was. I related to her because she is a writer too (although she writes screenplays and I'm more of a novel person). She was an interesting character to learn about and delve into. I still don't quite understand everything that goes on in her head but for the most part she was a great main lead.
WOO SU-JI: I did not like her much the first half of the show. She was arrogant, abrasive, and sometimes just downright rude. I also disagreed a lot with her opinions so it was hard to like her. However, by the second half she was one of my favorite characters. She started to own her life instead of angrily hiding behind other things in her life. One of my favorite moments was when she finally stood up to her coworker who had said horrible things about her. He really did deserve to be punched in the face. I liked how things ended up for her too because she was in a career she loved, ended up with a man she loved, and was happier than she had been. I'm glad she had that ending.
MA SANG-GOO: He was one of the funniest characters in this show. And I really liked him. I didn't care much for him at the start but once I saw more of him I related to him on such a personal level. He seemed so done with everyone and I would be too if everyone was coming to me for constant relationship advice. But I also loved how he stood up for other people and was just overall such a good and sweet person.
YANG HO-RANG: Do I like her? Eh...no. Do I hate her? Eh...no. She legitimately bugged me at times and I don't know if I would even call her a good person. By the middle to endish of the show I could care less what happened to her. I didn't wish something awful had happened to her but I wasn't wishing for that happy ending. Maybe I just didn't understand her or something but I was not impressed by her character.
SIM WON-SEOK: He was fun to watch because the actor played a secondary role in my favorite show Descendants of the Sun. I liked seeing him in a more main role and I would definitely want to see him in more roles. Won-seok had to deal with a lot of crap in this show and I was happy that things turned out well for him. He had a lot to work out in his life and I was proud of him for getting there.
