My First First Love Season 2 has basically the same plot as the first season so I'll keep this short and sweet. The show follows 5 college age people as they navigate the beginnings of the adult world and their relationships with each other.
Surprise! I finished season 2 in one day...... but not because I was so drawn into the story that I just had to keep watching. It actually had the same pacing as the first season which basically meant that it was okay but not incredibly interesting. I liked this season about the same as the first one but for different reasons. Without giving away any spoilers I liked the different romantic couples that developed during this season as well as the bigger roles the parental figures played. Overall it was a good show but one that I will only be watching once.

OVERALL STORY: This season had pretty much the same pacing and feel as the first season. What I did like a lot more was the fact that we got to know more about each characters situations. And we got to see them confront their parents for awful things they did instead of not interacting with them like in season 1. BUT THAT TWIST. Seriously I did not see that coming--the fact that Tae O's birth mother was alive the whole time!???? That was the craziest thing to happen in this show and actually my favorite thing to occur during both seasons. It definitely had such an impact on Tae O and it was legitimately surprising. There were so many things about the parents in this season that I absolutely loved but I'll go into it more below. Besides that I felt like this season answered a lot of the questions that weren't answered in season 1. It was a good continuation and had an okay ending. Everyone had their happily ever after (kind of) but I was still left unsatisfied. I think they could still do another season but the ending wasn't bad. Just..... unsatisfying.
MAIN ROMANCE: Here is the conclusion of our wonderful love triangle that was introduced towards the end of season 1 between Song I, Tae O, and Do Hyeon. And I am 100% behind who ended up with who. *drumrolls* She ends up with Tae O! Which, honestly, I think she couldn't have ended up with anyone else and had it work. I really did not like her and Do Hyeon in this season where I was okay with them in the first. Their communication sucked and he was never there when she needed him. But despite what it sounds like I am not blaming him in that regard. She needs someone who has more time for her and can be there when she needs it. Do Hyeong just doesn't have that kind of availability because he is trying to make a living to help his Dad. It was crystal clear in this season that they wouldn't work out. Although I am happy Tae O and Song I ended up together (Ji Soo finally got the girl!) I felt like we could have used a lot more build up on her side. I don't doubt that she likes him romantically but it feels a little too rushed and is part of the reason that I couldn't be completely happy with the ending.
SECONDARY ROMANCE: This is between Ga Rin and Choe Hun.....FINALLY. I shipped them since season 1 and they ended up getting into a relationship which was AMAZING. But although I find them cute they are the kind of couple that is so nauseatingly cute that you cringe watching them together. I like them because I know them as characters but I've seen couples like them in public and they make you super uncomfortable and annoyed. But I loved how much they supported each other and were there for each other. Also Choe Hun became the ultimate expert on love which was hilarious.
YUN TAE O: I liked him less in this season and he is officially not my favorite character anymore. Why, you ask? Because he clearly didn't like Se Yeon (the girl he was dating in season 1) but he kept stringing her along. I felt like it was awful of him and he should have broken up with her within the first two episodes. To be fair, he did apologize for his actions later but I was still a little bugged at him. But he did go through a lot of character growth this season which is what I really wanted for him. Having to confront his family and his feelings for Song I did a lot for his character development. I was happy that, that was included in this season.
HAN SONG I: I had about the same opinion of her as I had in season 1. There were some episodes I liked her in and some I didn't. I did like how much more independent she became in this season despite other people's opinions that she actually became more dependent on Tae O. She really started to make decisions for herself and own up to those decisions. And I loved her for not taking anymore of Do Hyeon's crap.
SEO DO HYEON: I really hated him this season and I'm not completely sure why. One reason I know for sure is how he reacted to everything with Tae O. I understand not wanting your girlfriend to continue to hang around a male best friend but I don't understand freaking out about situations that you caused. Example: When Song I went to go find her mom and he couldn't make it because he was working so Tae O ended up going with her. He flipped out about it but the fact was he didn't go with her even though he probably could have made it happen if he tried. But she shouldn't have to go alone to something like that so he should have been way more grateful to Tae O for going with her. I get the whole jealous boyfriend thing but his reactions were ridiculous.
O GA RIN: I loved her and I especially love the person she grew to be. She really branched out in this season and found herself. She got in her relationship with Choe Hun and confronted her mom about letting her live her own life. I loved her ending with owning that building and seeing everything she did with it. Her character definitely made this season worth watching.
CHOE HUN: So he's my favorite character now. I've always liked him because of how funny and light hearted he is but he really went the extra mile in this season. My favorite scene with him hands down in this season is the one where he stands up to his father. (Who is abusive by the way) He doesn't let his father control him anymore and he comes out all the stronger for it. I really loved his character growth and the fact that he GOT A ROLE. YES! If anyone deserved to finally get a main role it was him. His ending made me the happiest. (And that scene with his mom made me want to cry)
QUOTE: (This isn't from the show but I thought it applied)
"I laugh harder with you. I feel more myself with you. I trust you with me--the real me. When something goes wrong, or right, or I hear a funny joke, or I see something bizarre, you're the first person I want to talk to about it." - Samantha Young
